I am an amateur photographer living in the South West of England.
My passion for
photography began in the early 1980's, printing and processing black and white images, with a
grainy and contrasty style.
In 1985, when a member of the Royal Photographic Society in
Bath, I gained the Licentiateship distinction with a panel of 10 black and white, 16 by 12 inch prints. In 1987, with a panel of 12 black and white, 16 by 12 inch prints, I gained the Associateship distinction. This panel can be seen in the ARPS gallery. The camera I used at this time was a Canon AE-1.
In 2001 I purchased a Nikon 775 digital camera, which started my love for digital image manipulation. Cameras that followed were a Nikon 4500, Canon 300D, and I currently use a Canon 500D.
